Enhancements in Advanced Events Plugin

We have recently added two new features in our very popular plugin: "Advanced Events Plugin" which are useful for user retention and also provide better control to event admins for managing attendees:

 

  • - Capacity and Waitlist: Events mostly have limited capacity. Till now, event admins were not able to specify capacity for their events, which led to them getting more joinees than their limit. With this enhancement, event admins will be able to specify capacity for their events. Interested members will be able to join / book that event till the capacity is reached. After that, an "Event is Full" message will come for that event, along with the option to register for that event under "Waitlist".

    • Event owners can manage waitlist members' requests for joining their events from 'Manage Waitlist' section, and can take further actions based on availability. Thus, if some event joinees leave the event or its capacity increases, then others from waitlist will be able to join.

       

    • - If an event is recurring, members can join waitlist for any specific event occurrence and event owner can take action accordingly.

       

    • Members who have applied under waitlist for events can follow those events through the ‘Waitlist’ tab available on ‘My Events’ page. (This is only visible if the member has joined at-least one event under waitlist.)

       

  • - Add To My Calender: Users can now set reminders for events of your website on popular tools like Google Calendar, Yahoo Calendar, Outlook Calendar and iCal. This useful functionality can increase memberships of your website's events, and is a very handy tool too.

[Note: To get these enhancements on your website, please upgrade "Advanced Events Plugin" on your website to its latest version available in your SocialEngineAddOns Client Area.]
