We are excited to announce upcoming new features to our Advanced Activity Feeds / Wall plugin. Many of you have sent us requests for these features, so we hope you love them as much as we do.

So without further ado:

 

1) Pinning Content
 

 

One of the great new features of Advanced Activity Feeds is the ability to ‘pin’ or anchor content to the top of your Timeline.

 

 

When you pin a post, it will always appear at the very top of your Timeline for up to X days. Regardless of the number of posts that are posted by other members. You’ll love this feature because it’s a great way to display content like promotions, events or articles that you want to draw people’s attention to.

 

 

2) Target your post

 

 

Say you have an 18+ show in Ann Arbor, Michigan coming up (or a book launch party — this info can apply to just about any event). Instead of letting all of your fans from around the world know about that particular show, you can just invite your Ann Arbor, Michigan fans that are of a certain age!

 

How? By targeting your posts! Advanced Activity Feeds will now give you the option to target your posts by Gender, Age etc.

 

 

3) Schedule a Post for future

 

 

Are you crunched for time? Do you want to save time by scheduling your posts?

We have a solution for you this time. AAF’s scheduling feature can be a lifesaver when you have basic updates to share over a period of time or if you’ll be out. Instead of tediously going into App/Web every day (possibly a few times every day), you can type in your update, customize a few settings, hit Schedule and you’re done!

 

 

4) Stop getting notifications from a post you’re not interested in

 

 

 

Let’s say you’re friend have posted an update and you commented on it. Now your bad time starts. You’re bombarded with notifications every time someone comment / like that post.

 

Before, you’ve option only to turn off notifications from entire Website or App. Now you can choose from which post you don’t want to get further notifications.

 

 

5) Real Time translation

 

 

We all know that a community can have members from different regions. As community is all about interacting members irrespective of language or region. Wouldn’t you want to read feeds posted by another member in your native language?

Break down language barriers with your community. Now you can accurately know what your friends have posted in community in just 1 click.

 

 

6) Content Highlighter

 

 

Let’s say a festival is near and you want to show string related to that festival posted by all members in their status update in a different color & font style. You can easily do this with Enhanced Advanced Activity Feeds plugin.

 

Simply add the desired string in desired font style & color. Then the matching string will show-up in the selected color & font style.

 

 

7) Greet your community members

 

 

Want to Greet your community members with polite Good Morning message? Want to wish members with New Year wishes?

Now it’s easy to show greetings to your members in just few clicks as beautifully as you want. You can easily schedule Greetings for future dates.

 

 

8) On this Day: A new way to look back at Photos & Memories

 

 

People often look back at old photos and other memories they’ve shared in Community, and many have told us that they enjoy products and features that make this easier.

 

We’re launching On This Day, a new way to look back at things you have shared and posted. Only you can see your On This Day page.

 

For example, you might see past status updates, photos, posts from friends and other things you’ve shared or been tagged in – from one year ago, two years ago, and so on. Only you will see this content unless you decide to share it with your friends.
