We’re actively improving our "iOS and Android Mobile apps" for SocialEngine, so that your online communities have the best mobile tools to grow. Some weeks back we had implemented a great feature: “Share Intent” in both our iOS and Android mobile apps.

This feature allows users to share media and content from other apps installed on their phone to your community’s app. Till now, while sharing media from your phone, you would have seen options like Facebook, WhatsApp, iCloud, Mail, etc, but with this enhancement, you will also start seeing your app as one of the destinations for sharing.

Thus, some of the benefits of Share Intent feature are:

• Users can easily share the content they like on other apps to your app.

• This includes photos, videos and other media stored on the phone. Directly from the “Photos / Gallery” app on their phone, users will be able to easily share photos on your community’s app.

• Users can see a full preview of the post on your app before pushing it out.

• This feature increases user engagement on your community and improves user experience.

• This feature also increases visibility of your app on your users’ phones.
