Activity feeds are the most important feature of an online community as they act as an aggregator of content and community updates. Our 'Advanced Activity Feeds / Wall Plugin’ runs on many online communities, and we're excited to release useful enhancements in this plugin that will increase user engagement and enhance user experience in your online communities.

• Integration with Hashtag Plugin

Hashtags can be used while updating status via Activity Feed which will be autodetected intelligently by the plugin. Users can easily find feeds with specific content using the hashtags. Check out the Hashtags Plugin here: https://www.socialengineaddons.com/socialengine-hashtags-plugin

• Uploading Multiple Images

Yes, this most awaited feature is live! Users can now post multiple images at a time from Activity feed’s Post Something box on Member Home Page and Member Profile Page.

• '+' icon on 5th image

A '+' icon will appear on the 5th image along with the remaining image count in case, more than 5 photos are uploaded at a time.

• Create Photo Album option

Using this new ‘Create Photo Album’ option, users can create a photo album from within the activity feed block itself without having to navigate to the ‘Create an Album’ page. This option is available just above the Post Something box. Clicking on this option will open an interactive lightbox under which users will be able to easily fill the form and create an album.

• Add Video Link & Add Photo Link

Additional interactive options to add video / photo from Activity Feed; these options are very similar to what Facebook offers and will help increase user engagement on your websites.

• Edit the post

Another most awaited feature is here! Yes, users can now edit their text based posts and correct their typos easily.

• Logged-in user’s profile photo in the Post Something box

Profile photo of the logged-in user will be visible in the Post Something box which will make this section look more attractive on Member Home Page and Member Profile Page.

• New Font Icons

New font icons have been implemented to eliminate multiple http requests speeding up your websites and improve the scaling or responsiveness.

Requirements:

The above enhancements are dependent on the Advanced Photo Albums Plugin and Advanced Activity Feeds / Wall Plugin and so, you should have both the plugins installed on your website to enjoy these enhancements.
